Summer 2021 update
Summer 2021 has been a busy period for ACRC - filled with fun, virtual and in-person events and academic success. ACRC now has over 80 members. With the new academic year beginning, we hope to find even more UK-based Black Caribbean PhD students to join our growing community.
June 2021 update
ACRC’s Summer update celebrates the continued growth of ACRC. We now have over 70 members. We have big plans for the rest of 2021 that includes outreach within the community and collaborating with our sister group WARC.
Spring 2021 update
Happy New Year from ACRC-UK!
We are continuing to grow and have reached nearly 70 members. Meeting on a weekly basis, we have big plans for 2021 that includes outreach within the community.
Winter 2020 update
In the final quarter of 2020, we’ve seen ACRC-UK reach over 60 members and have continued to meet virtually on a weekly basis. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve held space for checking in with each other, resulting in conversations on everything from PhD studentship extensions to how we’ve each adapted in our own PhD programmes.
Summer 2020 update
Summer 2020 was a busy time for ACRC, with increasing numbers of members (over 50, spanning from pre-PhD to early-career researchers), increasing online reach and increasing activities.
Spring 2020 update
The spring of 2020 was an era-defining time for the ACRC. Still in our infancy after having formed in late 2019 in response to the Leading Routes Broken Pipeline report, many of our members had never met face to face.
